What a classic T-shirt is

It's the simplest Roblox clothing type: a square image shown on the front of the avatar torso, on top of whatever shirt it wears. The official documentation uses 512×512 pixels as the example, which is what this tool exports.

How to upload it to Roblox

  1. Go to the Creator Dashboard (create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations).
  2. Open Avatar Items and the Classics tab.
  3. Drop your PNG or click Upload Asset.
  4. Set Asset Type to T-Shirt.
  5. Write the name and description. You can create them with our name generator.
  6. Click Upload and pay the 80 Robux fee. Moderation takes up to 24 hours.

Before paying you can test it for free in Roblox Studio: in the Avatar tab click Character, pick a block avatar, add a ShirtGraphic object and set your image in its Graphic property.

Tips so it looks good

  • Use a transparent background so there's no square on the chest.
  • Leave some margin: the edges of the square sit on the sides of the torso.
  • Avoid too much text. Roblox rules ask not to put excessive text on items.
  • Want a full shirt with sleeves? Use the 585×559 template editor.

FAQ

What size is a Roblox T-shirt?

According to the Roblox documentation, a classic T-shirt is a square image, for example 512×512 pixels. It shows on the front of the avatar torso.

What is the difference between a T-shirt and a Shirt?

A T-shirt is a single square image that only goes on the front of the torso. A Shirt uses the 585×559 template and covers the whole torso and arms. For full shirts use our template editor.

Why use a transparent background?

So only your design shows and the rest of the torso shows the shirt or the avatar color. With a colored background you get a square on the chest.

How much does it cost to upload a T-shirt?

The official documentation lists a 80 Robux fee per classic clothing upload. You need an ID-verified account to upload and Roblox Plus or Premium to sell.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed in your browser and the image never leaves your device.
