        Why the name and description matter

        The name and description are what Marketplace search uses to show your clothing. Roblox's documentation gives three rules this tool follows:

        • Summarize what your item is in the first sentence.
        • Use related keywords, without repeating them or adding unrelated ones.
        • Decorate sparingly: one or two well-placed emojis are fine; more is confusing.

        What Roblox doesn't allow

        Marketplace rules forbid official Roblox branding or logos, and items with political, religious, violent, drug, sexual, wedding or dating themes. The checker warns you if your text has words that may fall into those themes.

        What makes a good Roblox shirt name?

        Short, clear and saying what it is: style, color and item type. Roblox recommends not repeating words and using at most one or two well-placed emojis.

        What should the description say?

        Summarize what the item is in the first sentence and add only related keywords: style, colors, what it pairs with. Roblox warns that repeating words or adding unrelated keywords can push your item down in search.

        Can I add famous game names so people find me?

        It's not a good idea. Adding keywords unrelated to your item counts as spam under Roblox best practices and can hurt you.

        Can I use the word Roblox or its logo?

        Marketplace rules forbid using Roblox-created assets or official Roblox branding and iconography on your items. Avoid names that look like an official item.

        Which themes are not allowed?

        Under the Marketplace policy: political, religious, violent or gory, self-harm, drug-related, sexual, wedding or dating themes, or items meant for that kind of roleplay.
