How Roblox clothing creators earn money

Every time someone buys your shirt on the Marketplace, Roblox keeps a part and you get the rest in Robux. Today the creator share is progressive: it starts at 30% when you sell at the price floor and rises to 70% when your price is 6 times the floor or more.

If the sale happens inside a game, you get 30% and the game owner 40%, whatever the price.

What it costs to start

  • 80 Robux per design you upload (not refunded if rejected).
  • 10 Robux publishing advance for classic clothing (refundable).
  • ID verification and Roblox Plus or Premium to publish.

That's why it pays to check your template before uploading. Use the template checker to catch mistakes without spending Robux.

From Robux to real money

Once you have 30,000 Earned Robux you can cash them out through DevEx at 0.0038 dollars each. See the details in the Robux to money calculator.
